Well another day has gone by and I can assure you that Roxanne is resting comfortably.
Things have little change from the last posting. She is using 60% ventilator and 40% her own breathing so it is fluctuating alittle. James and I were up there this morning with Roxanne. I read some of my Chocolate dipped Faith book with them. It was a book that we were to read together so now she gets to listen to me read it. It was such a wonderful time, if that makes any sense.
Melainie Morrow sent up lunch for us. Thank you Mel. Glen (James's little brother) and Mik are very grateful for all that you are doing and the support you are giving them and the rest of us.
James was able to go to Balgonie and do some work and planning that he felt he to needed to do. It is still part of the reality that he wants to do. I don't know alot of what went on this afternoon evening as I haven't talked to James yet. I took Justin and Kirsten (my daughter) to a birthday party for one of their preschool friends. They had so much fun. He has been hanging out here tonight playing with Dylan. Boys sutff.... He is staying here tonight and sleeping peacefully. Sandra from Muenster (a very good friend of the Strueby's) had supper provided for us. She has been an inspirational women with all of her comments that she has left. We appreciate all that you do. And I know Rose Marie values you greatly.
When I talk to James I will be able to give you more info maybe.
It has been great to have family around: Roxannes family and mine. Her brothers have been spending alot of time there with her and I know she is loving every minute with them.
This is a very difficult thing to come to reason with but we are still praying for a miracle. God can do miracles!!! Roxanne is a determined woman and a fighter....
Keep praying for that miracle. Thanks for all the comments and support. We all appreciate it.
I hope this isn't to mumbled jumbled. Talk to you all soon
Cheryl

I can't stop thinking of all of you at this time. Roxanne's courage is unbelievable. I do pray for a miracle as well. I have been praying for all of you to have the strength that you need to get through this. I have never heard of blogs before, so I did not know what to expect when I connected to it. Cheryl, you also need a hug for all you have done. What a support group! The Brule family has touched many lives. I hope you can feel our prayers from hear.
Much love Karen Quibell
Thank you for all your kind words Cheryl and for all that you are doing for Roxanne & her family. Providing a meal is such a small thing compared to all that you are doing. Rosemarie is also my dearest old friend. She was the 1st person I met in Muenster and babysat my children, Vince & Elita, when they were small. Those who know Rosemarie know why Roxanne is who she is. She truly is her mother's child and that is why anyone who has met Roxanne love her as she is like her mom so much. To this day I will never forget the day I and the kids went over to Rosemarie's on our way to the ski hill in Muenster. We stopped in to ask if they wanted to join us. When we walked in there were dishes all over the place as they had just finished dinner. I said, "We thought you might want to join us at the hill but I can see you are busy with dishes". Rosemarie said, "Sure, just give us a minute." I could not believe that. Most of women would have felt we had to clean up first. That was such a lesson to me. Rosemarie always had her priorities straight - family first and it now shows up years later. Vince & Elita simply love Maurice and Rosemarie as they bring back so many good memories for them growing up in Muenster and for me also. Like everyone else I continue to pray for a miracle for our Roxanne.
Life sometimes brings us down to our knees and this is one of those times.
Please Lord hear our Prayers.
Thank you for the updates Cheryl, they are so good to read as I am thinking of Roxanne quite a bit. You are all in our prayers, we all need that miracle to happen.
Hi Roxanne,
It's Jana Mitchell (Perry) writing to you. My Mom has been keeping me posted on your battle through any info. she has and Brenda Painter passed on your blog info. to her. I remember my Mom telling me about your battle with cancer the first time around and then I bumped into your Dad while in Humboldt and he shared a little bit about what you went through then. Your story amazed me then as to what you'd already been through and how you had such determination and remained positive. Last night I read through your blog and have to say again how I admire your ability to put anger aside and face this illness head on, I can't say I would do as well because my stubborness seems to get me idled in one place! A comment you made that struck me most was about how you haven't tucked your son into bed in a long time and it made me realize how we take so much for granted. You have inspired me to take the time to count and recount my blessings. I want you to know I am thinking of you and praying for that miracle that I know so many people hope will come. My thoughts and prayers to the Strueby family too (I ran into your Mom&Dad and Ron and Ray at Muenster hill over Christmas, it was good to see them all).
Love, Jana Mitchell
Thank you so much for keeping us all up to date Cheryl. I know it must be very difficult for you but for those of us so far away it really helps us feel as though we are much closer. I feel very helpless not being in the area and able to do more for both of your families. Please give Rox's brother Ray a huge hug for me the next time you see him!
Stay strong, love jill (grace)
Roxanne,
You are truly in the fight of your life, and I often wonder why things have to be the way that they are, it is just not fair. I know that we haven't seen each other in a long time, I think the last time was the Muenster Centennial Celebration almost 2 years ago, but I wanted you to know that you are truly an inspiration to me as well as every mother, daughter, and sister out there. I can tell by the overwhelming response on your blog, that you have impacted a lot of people in your life, which truly says something about what kind of person you are. Your are in my thoughts and in my prayers.
Love, Amy Yeager (Korte) and family
Hi Roxy,
I am constantly thinkig of you and praying for you. I pray for you 6-10 times a day while Junell is eating. I so very much would like to come and see you but she will not allow her food supply to venture away for that long. Cheryl I truly appriciate all you are doing for Roxy, James, Justin and the Strueby family. Could you please give Roxy a big hug for me as well as Uncle Mouse, Auntie Rose, Reg, Ron, Ray, James, Justin and yourself. As uncle Edmund would say hang in there Rocket!!
We love You!
Donna (Hendriks) Sorotski & Family
Hi again Roxanne and family, we've been hanging on every blog on this site, thanks to Cheryl & Sandy for keeping us in the loop when we are so far away...stay strong and keep the faith that miracles happen and YOU Roxanne will be one of those miracles. We are praying for you all the time, every minute of everyday and keeping you all close to our heart. Roxanne, as you rest imagine yourself winning this fight, imagine being "back in the game". Mind over matter. Our fists are up for you. Take our strength and use it all. Whatever you need, its yours. xoxoxoxoxox Vince & Cary Twardy
Hi Roxy,
I am amazed at all of the people you have touched. Whenever I move to a new place I am always on the lookout for "keepers". People who just have that something special and who enrich our lives. You are one of my keepers and it seems that many others feel the same. Hugs and kisses to everyone. Keep fighting Roxanne. Wish I could be there with you!!!
Love, Lisa Baines
Roxanne, as I read the tons of info on this blog - immediately I recall one of your fiesty Basketball games. You were always full of energy - ready to steal that ball away and drive for a basket!! One particular game comes to mind - we were playing in Lanigan, and everything we did turned out in a basket - you were the sparkplug of the team(as usual) and once we were ahead by quite a few points - I tried to rein you girls in, but I think the more I tried, the more you scored. You were like thoroughbred horses that nobody could stop. That is the way you always played and that is the way you now continue on. You are not a quiter - hang in there and fight - while we all do our best to Pray for you - looking for that well deserved miracle!!! Our kids(Tyler, Nicole, and Dana) also remember you when you used to babysit them. We are all hoping and praying for your recovery!!
Marvin and Maureen
PS --- And by the way - unlike Lisa might have mentioned - I don't think you fouled out of ALL the games!
